Well I haven’t written in this blog in so long that I’m honestly ashamed of myself. I wish I had a good excuse, but it all comes down to me having two jobs. I work 7 days a week as a fashion consultant for a company called Spylight (it’s an e-commerce website: spylight.com -check it out please) and I also, work for a tv station as a master control operator. I’ve been so busy working the two jobs, that my life has become very uneventful and my boyfriend and I have just been trying to survive day to day.
I recently went up to visit my parents in the Bay Area for a few days. It’s always nice to go back “home” and get away from the hustle and bustle of LA. We spent a lot of time just at home relaxing and watching tv, but on Tuesday we went to Half Moon Bay. So beautful! There’s something about being by the ocean that always makes you feel stress free and relaxed no matter how long you are there. It’s definitely one of my happy places.
As of right, I’m definitely looking forward to the new year and seeing what it has to offer me. I’m ready for a change, but I’m not going to set high expectations, because I’m still slowly learning that life isn’t perfect.
Why must there always be a great debate about going to the gym? You always feel better afterward and say “I’m so glad I did that!”-yet when it comes down to getting up, putting your clothes on, and actually going there is always GREAT hesitation, at least for me anyways. This is what happens to yours truly…. I’m definitely going to go but I am making every excuse under the sun. Maybe it’s not the right day? Maybe I should wait one more? My diet is pretty basic- I just avoid carbs. Lots of greens and proteins and about tons of water a day. I OVERDOSE ON WATER- peeing is a great thing, an extremely inconvenient thing but great. I avoid soda and any unnecessary sugars that aren’t really satisfying any type of cravings and I try not to drive myself crazy every day thinking about all things that I am trying to avoid. I don’t juice or do any of that ridiculous nonsense..I’m really old school when it comes to a diet. Green beans make you skinny and fries make you fat, it’s really very simple.
I have a confession, I’m a clean freak. I think it annoys my boyfriend, but secretly he is glad that I am since he can’t stand cleaning to save his life. Since it’s officially the first day of spring I figured I would share some amazing organization tips to help out those with cleaning anxiety.
Color coordinate your closet. It seriously sounds so tedious, but believe me, once you do you’ll be grateful and actually realize what clothes you haven’t worn in forever and what you actually own that might not fit you or your lifestyle anymore.
Organize your make-up drawer
Clean and organized your purse. Get rid of old receipts and anything that you don’t need in there.
Clean your fridge. Throw away old and expired foods and organize the fridge so everything has a place and reason to be there.
If you’ll be with your main squeeze
Have a picnic at a park or at the beach
Stay home and have a romantic dinner
Go out for frozen yogurt
Make your own handmade card
For all the Single Ladies out there
Watch movies with a bottle of wine

Let’s face it, gift buying for men is about as easy as navigating through Best Buy on black Friday. It’s not a task for the faint of heart. This Valentine’s Day, I challenge you to avoid boring gift cards, and instead, give a gift that not only that he’ll love, but you’ll love just as much.
